What length bow mount trolling motor do you recommend for the Niente?
Thanks, Professor

Hello Professor -
The recommended shaft lenght is 54" for the Niente.
Take care,
Heather

Heather, I finally broke down and got the Niente last weekend. I have a '98 60 horse 2-stroke Yamaha, but I can't get the boat on plane. I'm running a 21" stainless prop and a jackplate, but a mechanic told me to try a 15" to get max rpm for that boat. What are ya'll using on your 50's or 60's? The motor is running great, just can't seem to find out exactly what's wrong. I'd hate to dump $400 for a new prop if it's not really necessary.
Thanks, Professor

Hi Professor -
I just now saw your post...
For the 50 & 60 HP engines, we typically use a 15 or 16 pitch prop. So it sounds like your mechanic knows his stuff. I am certain of one thing, though - I can get you a better price on a prop, and would be happy to do so.

Hi Professor -
Check your e-mail - I just sent you some propeller prices I think you'll be happy with.
